Capacity Building Working Group Final Report
December 11, 2017
The ICMRA Capacity Building Working Group (WG) led by PMDA/MHLW started its activities in December 2013. The WG’s primary objective is to promote global regulatory capacity building, which forms the basis for international harmonization and cooperation.
The WG established an access portal for information on training programs conducted by the ICMRA members (including the observer, WHO). Furthermore, the WG performed gap analysis of capacity building activities conducted by the members, and discussed ways through which ICMRA could contribute to resolving the problems identified by the gap analysis.
Having met its objective, the WG was disbanded in February 2017. ICMRA members also agreed that the WG should prepare a final report summarizing its activities. The final report endorsed as a formal ICMRA document is provided below.
